It’s nice that they dropped the price a bit. I was going to drop it from my menu when it changed to 0.10c but might reconsider now at 0.08c. Maybe.
I think for a game designed specifically for arcades the devs really need to step up their general communication with arcades.
I tried emailing them and haven’t heard back. Still have no idea how to actually buy the towers, vests, or guns. No indication on if or when they’ll fix the issue with sound not working, not automatically signing in to the server, gun defaulting to the left hand when both are active (and no way to swap without physically swapping controllers, then swap back when switching games).
The virtual tower is confusing to first time players, they don’t understand they need to move out of it when the game launches, then when they do realise (after I tell them) many simply take a step forward and stay at the front of the play area the whole time without moving again.
I’m not sure who the best market this game is for. Kids struggle with the moving mechanic because they’re hyperactive and can’t shoot at the top of the towers, then when/if they do hit the top of the tower they don’t realise they need to click, hold to claim the tower, then pull. It can lead to frustrated kids.
Same with non-gamer adults, they struggle with the moving mechanic. Yet adults who are gamers find it too slow-paced.
I also find that players are simply too far away from each other. People love it when their friends are up close and in their face. That and the fact that you can’t get onto the same platform as someone else, it makes it feel isolated.
