Multiplayer for kids!

Is there anyway to filter the marketplace to show multiplayer games? I'm looking for some for kids.

I have already a couple of arcade games, smashbox, cowbots and aliens. I have heard rec room is good but the menu might be too complex for kids.

Any other suggestions for kids like 8-14 ish?

Definitely Rec Room. Kids at my arcade don't need to use the wristwatch menu at all. Paintball is a big hit for kids parties. Take some time to set up your stations following my guide and save a ton of licensing costs. QuiVR and Elven Assassin are good for kids too.

For Rec Room you have to set up an account and email? Do you need a separate email for each machine, cause that would be a bit of an inconvenience. It looks fun but we were kinda questioning on the need to create an account. I can create one for each machine but if we need to provide a separate email for each machine, we probably wouldn't go that route.

@OVPowerPlay Yes, just use the same email you used to set up your Steam accounts on each machine. To me the value of a free, popular, and large scale multiplayer game makes it far worth a few hours setting things up.

Well I used ONE email for all my steam accounts. I'm assuming we can use any single email. We'll give it a shot to use a single email and give it a go. Probably play around with it next week turning our slower day.

You can have multiple steam accounts off the same email address? I didn't even try that, I ended up creating multiple gmail address for each station ... I just used "ArcadeName".Station1@gmail ... etc. Then had each of them friend each other. It helps out in some multiplayer games that use existing steam friend lists to make start games. Actually this was the only way I found it to work with BattleWake.

Rec Room is definitely worth the time to setup according to @thevrclub's guide ... took a few hours for me with just 7 stations. The biggest hurdle I had was figuring out how to use the maker marker in the backpack. Good luck :-) .... totally worth it when they all launched correctly from the Launcher.

Tip for the tip. The Rec Room setup VrClub took the time to explain is awesome. But it’s a time consuming. I found a couple young guys to do it for me in exchange for free play time. Totally worth it. Ask at the local card game club if you want volunteers.

FYI, @thevrclub did a GREAT job pulling it all together … I think the Rec:Room team saw what he was doing and did a lot of the hard backend work for other arcades.

If you make the accounts for each station and then email Rec:Room support, they will publish and connect an “Arcade Setup” to your accounts. It’s really, really slick.
