Help with HTC Vive tracking

We use the HTC Vives in our arcade, and we have had constant tracking issues in all our booths. I have tried almost everything I have found online, but we are still having issues, such as the display going gray or people flying away. The display always comes back and doesn't last that long, but it takes you out of the experience and if someone is playing a shooting game and comes back from gray to find they died, they get very annoyed.

I was wondering if anyone on here has found anything that fixed the issue or at least reduced the amount it happens. Thanks for any advice.

Lighting, mirrors, big windows reflecting? Can you post some pics of the spaces? Maybe the Lighthouses are not angled properly? Are people stepping outside of the houses view?

Those are the top things I had to consider when initially installing the stations.

The lighting seems to be fine in each room. There is a tv in each room for other people to watch. I tried covering it, but it made no difference, so I don't believe reflections are an issue. This is occurring even when they are centered in the middle of the room in view of the lighthouses, usually when turned a certain way. I will try to post pictures as soon as I can.

Also, I should mention we have each room set up using the sync cables with channels A/B, and there are walls between each room.

Hey Justin,

Thanks for the post! Something else to consider:

To setup your station you need one lighthouse set at B and the other set to C. One C will not see another C but it may see another B. If you think that one C is seeing two B lighthouses try changing them so that one of the offending B lighthouses is set to C.

We have 4 rooms and they are each set up the same. The first picture shows a hallway leading to 2 rooms. We have an exact copy of that right behind that hallway leading to 2 more rooms.

We had the same issues with a similar setup. We closed the gaps to the ceiling to stop leakage. Sounds stupid but I think the bright white paint bounces the infrared light around and causes interference. We had the same.

Practice with cardboard first, duct tape to close off all the gaps. You'll see it will work then
