madison the main 3 games that we needed the floating on are not listed arizona beat saber and space pirates…these that are listed are games hardly get played and would end up costing more doing this then ppm..one exp superhot..but I dont spend 150 a month on it so that one is nothing to

If I have a floating license for any particular game, then that license may “float” to any number of my VR stations so long as it is currently not being used? As in, if station 1 is occupying this floating license and stations 2 and 3 also begin to play this game, my 1 floating license will only cover station 1’s game and I’ll have to ppm for stations 2 and 3?

Is this correct?

It is not quite clear to me (and apologies for my ignorance here) as to what happens if you opt into a monthly license half way through a month? Does that retrospectively work out the occasions of more than 1 station use for the previous days in the billable month or does the monthly license only apply in subsequent months?

VR-ARRIVAL you will be charged immediately the prorated amount from that day to the 1st of the next month. So if you purchase a monthly license on December 17th, it will charge you the prorated amount for Dec 17-31st and then on January 1st you will be charged upfront the full amount for the next month.

I have to admit that I was wrong. Monthly and yearly licenses will save me a lot of money due to the floating nature.
I’m excited about this. Thank you. The math is completely different if one license floats to any of my 9 headsets. Great work @madison and @HunterLaneSBVR

I think we will see prices fluctuate over time just like the per minute has to find that sweet spot that works best for the majority of us. Looking at our costs right now I don’t think there is a single game that we would benefit from getting any number of floating licences on. As many others have stated the games we were most interested in don’t currently have the option for monthly or yearly. It would be helpful to have some more detailed analytics to make that determination though. For example, Psitol Whip has cost us almost $70 so far this month so we anticipate it being about $140/month in per min licensing. Now if it was always only 1 person at a time playing it, the floating license would save us a lot of $, but home much of the time is there 2 or more people playing it would be handy to know. In a perfect world Springboard would be able to tell us this information so we could make sound decisions with analytics that would tell us what the projected cost would be with 1 or more floating licenses based on concurrent use.

Yeah it’s a pity, seems to me monthly options make financial sense for arcades on only the most popular games guaranteed to have a high play time.

Floating as in it will apply to any station that’s playing that game if you have one floating licenses. If a second station starts that game, it’ll be the per minute rate unless you have two floating licenses and so forth. I pay for 5 floating licenses of Sweet Escape because I’ll have that many playing together for birthday parties.
