When we advertise we always make mention of “group escape rooms” and that brings in a fair number of customers alone. Locals who might not otherwise have a clear concept of VR are more likely to have heard of an escape room so it’s a good ‘gateway’ experience for getting groups in the door. Particularly groups of women. We offer a flat rate of $20 a person regardless of the time it takes them. That also helps.
On that note, I’m perplexed why there’s not a greater variety of multiplayer escape rooms beyond the OnSkull series.
So far I’ve only run Tales of Escape and within that, the Mine. On Steam the expansions to Tales have mixed reviews. I’d be interested if anyone can vouch for the expansions or recommend other -multiplayer- escape rooms as I’m starting to need fresh content for returnees.
