Question: How do you do memberships?

Hey all,

Our arcade is looking to do memberships and I'm trying to find a tool or software that can help us.

We have the ability through our bank to have reoccurring charges. We also have the capability through Checkfront to have a separate URL for members to make reservations and receive a discounted price. What we are missing is a database where we can easily identify who is a member in good standing, which members might have had payments not go through, ect. Our biggest concern is a member might give out the URL to a person who is not a member and they get a discounted price, which is why we aren't planning to use vouchers or discount codes.

So I was curious if anyone has been doing this and could recommend a third party software or company that handles these memberships?

I met with the owner/manager of Vantora that does so much and more in regards to payments, reservations, website management and the like.

They told me it would only cost $375 a month for a sleek website to be built and maintained with the capacity to have a reservations system as well as a membership only portal. It also has the capacity to ship tons of emails to people (discounts, events, etc.).

I'm still extremely new (15 weeks) so this chunk of over head seemed less appealing than me just having an average push on FaceBook, Instagram, my own website via www.wix.com.

To get more info from these guys, www.vantora.com is the website. They manage roughly 1500+ small businesses (paintball, VR Arcades, Axe Throwing, etc.). I would very much like to use these guys as soon as my traffic may justify the need.

I appreciate the info and I will reach out to them to see what they have to offer. I have a feeling that anything they do offer will be part of a larger package. We already have Checkfront doing our reservation system and that integrates very nicely with Springboard so I don't think we want to change that.

All we are looking for is a system that we can add new members to, that will check to see if they have an active account and if they do, redirect them to a special members page.
