How to setup your Tower Tag server!

Hey everyone Hunter with the content team with another Tower Tag video!

Showing you how to get your Tower Tag server properly set up and running.

As you might have seen and heard, Tower Tag is now available on the SpringboardVR marketplace, it’s easily one of the best VR multiplayer out there, so go check it out if you haven’t already.

The setup is a bit different than most titles but the process is super easy so big shout out to the Tower Tag team for simplifying the process.

Note that you don’t need a separate PC for the server, you will be using one of your VR machines.

First, when you launch the game you should be met with this title screen that asks you to connect and has the little options COG.

Click on the options button and then go to Network. (You'll see there are other options, feel free to look at these but for now, we’re just worried about Network Settings)

Select a name room [Yourarcadename for example]

Select the correct region

Hit Save

Repeat this on all the machines you want to play Tower Tag together and you should be good to go!

So, I've set the same room name on two different stations. Looks like two separate stations creating their own server and connecting to each other. Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, I got it. Name of the room should be with the same letters "arenavr" and "ArenaVR" it's two different rooms :))

Yes pro tip: the room names are case sensitive. We connected with @thevrclub at the other side of the world with no problem.

So I apparently put the wrong server name in my machine after an update and I didn’t click on the cog.

So I uninstalled and reinstalled hoping to be able to start over again but the settings seem to have been kept and I can’t make any changes to the server.

How do I:

remove the server settings so I can reset them
If I can’t just remove the server settings, how can I uninstall the program and kill any saved files so they aren’t automatically put back in when I reinstall the game? What folders do I need to ensure are deleted after the game is uninstalled?
HELP!!!

OVPowerPlay are you talking about just changing your room name so they all connect? …. the “X” to close the game doesn’t show on the main screen unless you press escape ….

So for me, game autoloads and dumps right into the server ….. I want to change the player name, I have to press ESC, then press the COG wheel at the bottom middle of the screen, then can change everything …

Hi there.
Thanks for the info. I was finally able to get this to work. Looks like when someone setup our original network settings they included a “-” in the name which was causing the hassles. This works! Thanks.
