Tower Tag has taken Asia by storm, amassing millions of viewers, and packing arcades across the continent–and is quickly becoming one of the best VR Esport titles available.
It’s a fast-paced, competitive shooting experience unlike any other I’ve played in VR and provides one of the most immersive, enjoyable and intense player vs. player experiences available.
One thing a lot of competitive VR shooters have in common is a fairly steep learning curve and they aren’t always great for those new to VR.
Tower Tag is the complete opposite of this though. It’s simple to get into and enjoy, but also has a surprising amount of depth and strategy involved for those who love a good competition.
Another thing we love about Tower Tag is it’s not just simply about who’s a better shot. The strategy involved in gaining position on your opponent and moving around the map makes the experience extremely immersive and really gives Tower Tag that fun, competitive Esports feel.
Even better, the version on SpringboardVR is a streamlined version that makes offering this premium experience a breeze.
The streamlined version supports both game modes, Team Deathmatch and Goal Tower, along with all the available maps.
Players can match up in 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 games and support for the physical tower, gun and haptic vest are also included.
There is also going to be an international Tower Tag tournament in November hosted by the Virtual Athletics League with a total prize pool of $2,000.
