Hmmm, Omni Treadmill = 5k if shipping to location/3k if picking up for one unit.
Vive Trackers = $200 per station (one for each leg); plus the (free?) software
I think I see what you are saying but unless anyone is willing to majorly split the cost of an omni then that is off the table for some time.
It just so happens that three players recently fell while involved with a teleport only game. My observation is that some people's brains are just more prone to accidents than others, whether or not it be in a teleport or touchpad movement game.
My thought was if those types of players ever come in again, and I strap on their ankles a device which is pretty much exactly the same movement day in and day out for walking, then they would be less likely to fall.
I agree with you on the arm swing being too complex for most customers yet still maybe easier to understand than remember which button does what for movement. Again some brains just don't connect the dots.
But if the Natural Locomotion is a hassle to setup then that is an issue for sure. I'm not the most tech savvy but I have been able to make sound come out of a speaker and headphones at the same time so people watching can hear what the VR player hears.
Thanks for your input. I'll have to do some more research into NALO I suppose.
