Hey all,
Just wondering what people use to disinfect the face insert in between uses? We have looked at a simple solution of alcohol/water in a spray bottle to individual alcohol wipes. I was curious if there was a consensus for a cleaning solution that will be quick, easy and won't damage the face insert itself.

Here are the ones we use they are Alcohol free which is the #1 reason so that it does not wear down the face mask we did switch out for the pu-leather face cover to help. Link for the wipe above link for the face-mask replacement below.

Those wipes do look like they would do an awesome job without the alcohol, tho they are pretty expensive, especially considering we can buy a pack of 200 alcohol wipes for 3 bux. :(
I use baby wipes from Wal-Mart or the grocery store. Someone please chime in if that is a big no no but so far the feeling and smell I get each time I put on a headset after many a sweaty uses is one of smooth, clean, brand newness.
We use baby wipes for the headset and face cushion and seperate alcohol based lens wipes .. we also wash the fake letter cushions each week .. did have one HMD once that got a stretch that reminded me of Seinfields car.. took ages to get the smell out - chucked the cushions - easiest all the other material .. got there but no idea why it smelt so bad - have never had a complaint about smell as I’m pretty percise - all the equipment must be perfect in the studio

I use non-bleach Clorox wipes. Done great so far. In addition to that, I will take the face cushions back home (the same ones linked above by Mark) and throw them into some washer detergent and soak them in there to do a deep clean. I'm thinking of getting a UV light wand thingy to run over the headsets every now and then but I'm just waiting until I find a good one. Very mixed reviews on a lot of them.
