In the wake of the recent mass shootings here in the US, I hear some corporations have offered active shooter training for their employees. In particular I had a Walmart employee come in that had recently taken this type of training in VR. She said it was very immersive and informative. Curious if SBVR had access to any of this type of training that vrcades could offer to the general public and for smaller companies that that don't have the resources like Walmart to offer in VR. Is this a possibility? We can do much more than gaming for our communities!
Thanks
Training and simulations for law enforcement, fire, construction, and general industry is a brilliant idea if we could get any of this it would bring a whole new market to our game. I have requests from Physiologists about using VRET and Phobias.
I love your idea Brian! The recent educational VR experiences are really cool too. I'm very glad to see the variety. I've been seeing a few of these training-type VR trailers on youtube recently that look useful. It would be great to be able to offer our community additional services through those type of experiences.
it will be absolutely awesome if we can get these kind of apps for Oculus Quest due to it wireless.

I believe some of our friends over at http://www.strivr.com are the ones working with Walmart! Cool idea for sure.
Let me ask around and see on the training content side... I know that the titles they've developed are custom tailored for Walmart. Has anyone seen a more "general purpose" simulator for an active shooter situation?
I know of a company who has an active shooter training and I am talking with them to get it ported for HTC Vive and Rift since as of now their app only runs on Oculus Go. I'll post here once I get any updates.
I just did an interview with the local newspaper for the surrounding cities a couple days ago. I brought up the potential to have active shooter training one day. The journalist called me today and said he spoke with the mayor and she is very excited about the possibilities and would like to visit and try it out if/when we get it. So in short (CAN WE PLEASE ELEVATE THIS REQUEST?) LOL :):grin::grin:
