VR + Mobile Crossplay

Hey everyone!

Wanting to get your opinion on something!

We just added the title Tsuro to our platform and there are a few existing ones (Final Soccer VR and Slightly Heroes for example) that also feature "VR + phone multiplayer capability." (Meaning that someone on a non-VR mobile device is able to play with someone in VR.)

Is this something you all would use or be interested in trying to use at your location?

Would love to hear your opinions and feedback, thanks in advance!

There are definately some neat party games that would work well in our deluxe rooms. This one just came up and looks amazing https://store.steampowered.com/app/868150/Takelings_House_Party/ My concern with this is the setup time involved. If I have 4 people with different smart phones trying to install the app to play with their friend we have to help them use their phones (which we aren't going to be familiar with), get them all connected and this would seriously impact their time. I can imagine on an hour timeslot by the time everyone had the app installed and set into the game 20 minutes of their time would be gone. This would add lots of extra training on our staff and complicate troubleshooting.

Not to mention customers can be fickle. How many times do we spend 10 minutes getting everyone into a complicated multiplayer game and showing them all the controls for them to immediately say this is too scary or I dont like this lets play something else. I can picture spending half their time setting up the game for them to play 5 minutes and switch to something else. The extra layer of troubleshooting and setup doesn't seem to be worth the payoff.

For us to even consider looking at something like this the setup would have to be super easy and work 100% on every device and be something that would hold peoples interest for a long time.

Hey Eric,

Been talking with them as well! That title also supports local play using a controller as well as using a mobile app.

Definitely understand too that it would need to work technically before considering it as a good option! Do you think that it would generally customers using their devices or would you consider providing those devices?
