Quick fyi, with the Steam VR update, I have had a few instances where the base stations simply go dark today. Found in the update that power management is enabled, not sure if it was that way prior. If I deselect power management the issue disappears but it is eerie how they all shut down together after the update.
Hope it just affected me, but if you are seeing the base stations go dark. Go into VR settings, base station and disable power mgmt.
