How to add steam friend

Hi everybody !

I got a question concerning the limited account steam. Indeed, with the cdkey system we need to get a steam account for few games. We don't buy games with it, just entering the keys from Springboard. So, our account still in limited account and we can't add friend via request.

So, how can we manage Multiplayer games using the steam API and friendlist as Sam & dan ?

Thanks for the question! I did some digging and found a couple things. It seems that to unlock the ability to add friends in Steam you have to spend at least $5. This guide that explains why in more detail.

While this is not ideal, we did find a video that mentions a potential workaround using the "groups" feature. We can't guarantee this works but it's worth a shot. I've linked the video to start when he begins talking about what steps to take. If you'd like to hear his whole explanation feel free to start it from the beginning.
