Applied Age Removed!

I have just discovered that we are now unable to change the age on given game presets on manually added games.

This is utterly frustrating. On Tuesday 30th April we start our Beat Saber only sessions and I now have no easy way to switch it so only Beat Saber is available at these times on our stations.

I had originally done this by age - so all games are set with the correct ages, games with no age are set to 2. Then put Beat Saber to 1 age, and set all stations to age 1. This method was backed up as used by others and the easiest to switch with on this thread https://community.springboardvr.com/t/having-only-specific-games-being-able-to-be-played-for-a-specific-time/350

Please tell me now urgently, how do I do this easily so I can switch back after the twice weekly sessions to our full library?

Unfortunately this is now not possible!!! I just sent through support requests about this very thing. Now it seems the developers want the control of setting the age restriction level (or not having one at all which will make what you are trying to do null and void). Very frustrating. I have a similar one with Creed where I don't want younger kids playing it because they get too excited and repeatedly go out of the rectangle and smash the controllers into the wall. Now with no age rating on it, i can't do that. I also strongly believe we (the arcade) should be able to determine whether the content deserves a particular age restriction (whether that be through difficulty level or content) and not a software developer in another country! Only suggestion would be to create a feature request and ensure everyone votes for it... Peter has already set one up for regaining more control of the content so would assume this would fit into that request...

Hey @KatePlayItVR @VR-ARRIVAL thank you for posting this. We definitely understand your frustration and we've seen multiple reports as to why this was not a good idea on our side. We're working hard to correct this and our developers are pushing a fix ASAP that will enable you to set your own age rating as long as it's not lower than what the developer set.

E.G. Age rating set by Content Creator = 13+, you will only be able to change it to anything greater than 13, not less than 13.

We apologize for the short-sightedness on our side and thank you for your voice. It should be corrected soon.

Thanks Jayson, Just to check then, if the developer hasn't set a age restriction, we will be able to set it to anything? We will still have to go over all of the games that we have on file and see what they have now been set to so that we can try to match the with what we have already (and is in the written summary material we show to customers). Is it also possible then to have the ability turn off and on the display of filters in the launcher - ie. to be able to turn off all filters other than those that have 'education' as a filter for example if school groups are coming in?

Yes that's correct! And as far as the ability to hide genres I agree with you. This would be a great feature especially with new trends in the industry like Narrative Movie Nights and educational programs.

I just looked up and saw in 2018 someone requested this exact feature. Could you, and anyone else interested in this feature, please upvote it.

Hi, I've just been going through the game presets.

We have both QuiVR and QuiVR Vanguard. Please could someone explain why QuiVR is no age limit but QuiVR Vanguard is 10+. The gameplay is the same exactly the same, just a different journey within the story. This really makes no sense.
