When I click to add a game to the new CDS, does it download a SBVR version of the game onto my client computer? Will I have two versions of the game(double the amount of data) until I uninstall the steam version?

Yes you will need to uninstall the Steam version or it will take up double the Disk space as there will be two copies of the game. The new CDS as I understand is programmed to look for the SBVR CDS version first and load that, but if it can't find one it will look for the team version. Far as I'm aware the files will be somewhere in the SBVR folder - I can't see it being in Steam still as they're not downloaded through the Steam application

Is there any way to customize where it goes? I have all of our high frequency games saving to a smaller SSD and lower frequency games on a larger(cheaper) HDD and would like to continue the practice.

Hey @VREX ! When you migrate a title you will need to go into your Steam accounts and uninstall the title so that you can download the version from us. You can read about how to migrate a title here . There will also be instructions on the title page for how to migrate it over.

@thevrclub When we select where to install we use the drive that has the most space available. It will be saved in a folder titled SpringboardVR Content on whatever drive it is installed on.

@DimensionalDrop Unfortunately right now there is not an option to customize where the files install.

Hey @VREX, yes when you click Install to add a CDS title it will begin downloading on your VR computer after you save the page. If you download the CDS version before uninstalling the version from Steam then you would have two instance of the same title which would take up more space on your computer. Having two versions of the title should not cause any conflicts, but if you do see issues make sure to let support@springboardvr.com know. Thanks!

@projectmatrixvr, right now we don't offer any way to test titles without being charged. We are having discussions within our team about it though!

We've taken advantage of the CDS and installed the new SuperHot Arcade Edition on our machines.

Slight technical issue I have come across. All of my machines have a second storage drive (D:) where the Steam Library was installed. And it now appears the Springboard content is also being installed.

Except for two of my stations, which both had an S:, a shared folder on a NAS device. for these two machines the Springboard content was installed there. Needless to say I don't want it installed there, but there appears to be no options anywhere to choose your installation path. It appears as it the CDS looks for the last drive letter on the PC to install content.

After removing the mapped drive I now have an error on the Game Library "creating staging folder: mkdir S:: The system cannot find the path specified."

Could we have an option in the station management to specify the CDS file path like we currently do for the Steam folder?

Hey @Mike_Creedon unfortunately right now there is not an option to customize where the files install. I would make a request over at features.springboardvr.com about being able to customize those configurations. I did talk to our Developers and one of them said you could try these steps on those computers that are installing on the S: folder as a potential workaround until we offer some form of settings/configuration for where we install CDS content to.

Uninstall SpringboardVR (this uninstalls all CDS titles, too) Go to the drive you want us to install into and create a folder right at the root of the drive called SpringboardVR Content. Install our app again, sign in (with admin account), select the station and it will start downloading/installing all CDS titles still assigned to the station.

If that drive is almost full we will still run the same logic, which means we try to use the next drive that has the most available space.

I’m hitting exactly the same thing - SpringboardVR used the shared drive to install all the content. We need a way to customize this.

I have some computers with 2 drives - C: and D:, where D: drive is shared. I tried the steps listed above - uninstalling SpringboardVR, deleting SpringboardVR Content from D: and then creating C:\SpringboardVR Content. I also deleted C:\Users<uiser>\AppData\Local\SpringboardVR. When I re-installed SpringboardVR it still went to drive D. Only once I deleted both C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\SpringboardVR and C:\Users<user>\AppData\Roaming\SpringboardVR did it finally stop installing to the wrong drive.
