Oculus Rift Problems

Hi All

If i explain the problem maybe someone or anyone can suggest a fix

I have about 20 titles setup and i am getting a few problems with a few titles

First one is Shooty Fruity if i add time to the station and launch the title via the launcher after a few minutes steam does not seem to notice that Shooty Fruity is still open and playing the launcher then reopens like there is nothing playing

The only fix for the above problem is not to use the launcher so i have to launch all the games via the monitor station

I have just been thinking is there a way to have titles that don`t show in the launcher but can be launched via the monitor station still i.e turn off the launcher and launch the title then once finished turn back on the launcher

Sorry to hear you're having issues. Make sure you're also sending in tickets to support@springboardvr.com to ensure you get a timely answer.

To answer your question, there isn't a direct feature for this but you could set those title with a high age rating and exclude them from the launcher that way.

For the titles having problems, have you tried verifying the integrity of the files? Here's instructions on how to do this (Just do it for the titles themselves, not SteamVR) -

Super Hot is also doing the same thing

Start a session start Super Hot after a few mins the launcher comes backup in the background

This is on all three of my stations all different spec machines

Should i uninstall everything and start again

Hey Mark,

Do you also have Vives by chance? I'm thinking this is most likely an issue with the Rift software causing issues because I haven't seen any other reports of this if I remember correctly but let me ping the rest of the tech support team to see if they've come across this!

I have noticed some instances of customer being in a game and suddenly finding themselves back at the launcher. I just assumed they had accidently closed the game down after bumping the Oculus button since it is no longer disabled, but now I'm thinking maybe there is a software fault as we have seen it happening a lot lately. We don't have Shooty Fruity, but we have Superhot and it doesn't seem to be an issue but will keep an eye on this and see if we can find out more information.

As mentioned in another ticket, its very possible all these issues are caused by Oculus Rift HMDs. We don't offer direct support for Oculus currently so there isn't to much Troubleshooting we can do here. I suggest posting to our Community Forum and seeing what information you can find: community.springboardvr.com
