Any Arcades Using Vive Pro with Wireless successfully?

Am trying (ambitiously) to set up multiple (7) systems using the Vive Pro and the wireless adapters. We are using the 2.0 controllers and base stations in a fairly open plan set-up. We have tried many base station setups but even after allocating individual channels to each base station, we still get Steam VR 'Synch on Beam error' with 2 channels being recorded as the same channel. When we check channel allocations again though, they are all separate channel. It appears that this is the cause of some base stations dropping out intermittently which leads to tracking problems. Any advice or work around solutions gratefully accepted... Cheers, Andrew

Hi Carlos, Tracking issues we have found to be more related to base station placement than the wireless. First thing would be to check the room overview function in Steam VR (Settings/Developer Tools [from memory]) - that will give you an idea of whether the base station coverage is sufficient. Ideally need overlap between the base stations in your play area. Also check your channel configurations for your base stations to make sure you don't have multiple base stations using the same channel number (there are 16 channels that you can select from so ideally have them spaced out over the whole 16). The synch cables are no longer needed as that was for the 1.0 base stations where there were timing differences between vertical and horizontal laser pulses. Hope that helps... Cheers, Andrew

Another problem you could be having is the Wireless was made and tested with Intel chips. If you have an AMD chip instead, it doesn't work very well. This is the situation we are in with our arcade. Also, it might be the receiver for the wireless is mixing signals, not the base stations. We can get ours to work for a little while, then it calls to the chip, expecting an Intel response, but AMD doesn't have that, so it just freezes. Until that happens though, it works just fine.

I know its late but wanted to chime in we have 6 vivepro stations wireless headsets work flawlessly. The only issues we have had were base stations not seeing each other (use separate channel on each one.. this was a duh moment) The battery life does not last more then 2 1/2 hours this was an easy fix buying 3.0 Anker that lasts all day (make sure if you buy off brand you spend some money cheap can kill your headset)

Thanks Mark. From what it seems you are one of the few that have multiple wireless stations working great with the Vive Pro. I have it great on one but can't replicate despite identical hardware on the other VR systems. Out of curiosity, what are the key PC specs for the systems you are using?

When I first set up the computers for wireless below I had issues the fix was simple its a startup order issue Wireless first then steam then steamvr then springboard in that order. If anything is out of sync it can cause loss of tracking.

3 computers are Windows 10 operating syststem 8th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-8700K processor 16GB DDR4 Ram 2TB hard drive and 120GB solid state drive (SSD) NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics And 3 computers
