Game Switching - Problems

Has anyone been having issues with switching games today? We have been having issues where after the customer brings up the overlay clicking switch games doesn't do anything. We end up having to restart the launcher for them to work. It has represented itself multiple times at random today. I haven't been able to nail down a cause or even a particular game that is doing it. Is it only us?

Hi Matthew, We have had the same issue. You can still switch games but the cursor is offset and not aligned. Generally we found you can see the switch game option light-up when you wave the cursor above the continue game option. This is still not ideal, as customers will not be able to figure this out themselves. But in regards to a solution to the problem, we cannot find any answers either.

Have you been reporting the bugs? I reported something similar and they said I was the only one with the issue.

It's only just started happening and we've been pretty busy this morning but I'll report it to them asap, I wanted to get a photo or some footage to send through as well.

You are awesome man, next time it happens I'm going to look myself. I've also informed our station attendants to look out for it. So I can if that is the issue we are having as well.

EDIT: Can confirm it is exactly the same issue. The cursor has to be 2 inches above the "I'm done" or "Switch Game" to trigger the button.

Currently troubleshooting this one, but it's very isolated and I am unable to reproduce it. Do you notice particular titles causing the issue by chance?

Just happened on station 1 when switching from Elven Assassin. Also did it on station 1 when switching from Fruit Ninja before that.

I take that back, I just spoke with another member of staff today and station 6 was exhibiting the error behavior today. Did not matter what game was being played.

We've had this issue occurring as late as yesterday (Tuesday, November 20) evening.

I haven't noticed the issue today but we've been on the slow side so not as many people cycling through the headset. I assume that we will have a full house on Friday and we will have a full house on Saturday so I'm going to watch like a hawk for offending games or anything that is common among the stations.

Hey Matt,

So the PC I have actually has the same GPU as you, it looks like SOME of them are on older drivers. But your station 6, the one you reported having the issue, actually has the same drivers as the one's I'm using and I still can't reproduce the error :rage:

So we can probably rule out GPU drivers. I'm gonna keep digging at this one though!

We have been getting this lately with a couple of games. It happened today with Escape Bloody Mary.

We never were able to recreate but we've also had no more reports of it. Possibly the SteamVR update solved the issue?

I've had no more instances of it happening. You are more than likely right on that front. I tried to recreate it myself on more than a few occasions and couldn't reproduce it either. Customers must have been doing something that was not obvious to me. Or something in our particular setup was causing an issue with the last SteamVR update that must of been recently been fixed in a hotfix or something else.

Just chiming in, we have also had no more instances of this issue, possibly the SteamVR update? Anyway thanks for your help everyone!
