This is exciting to see! Budget Cuts is an excellent title, but I have been hesitant to suggest it to customers because of the commitment it involves to start from the beginning. I don't want them to be disappointed that they barely made it through much of the story with their session. The option of an arcade mode that doesn't necessarily follow a set narrative would be fantastic.

This arcade version just released today apparently. Anyone tried it out yet?

Update: I tried it, pretty solid update. I'll be adding it to the menu and see if customers like it next. The method for forcing arcade mode is pretty fiddly. You have to launch the game and start a new game before the files will generate on your PC. Once you've done that go to user/documents/budget cutssavedata and open 'config_machine.cfg' with a text editor and make it look like the image below (taken from the game's steam forums)
