Anyone else participating in Extra Life?

I have been watching gaming groups online for years that participate in this event and I am thinking that it is about time the VR industry jump into it.

I am a little late to the game this year. Rooster Teeth is doing their stream tomorrow and I have a YouTuber friend that is planning to do his on the 17th. I am going to spend the next couple days planning for how The Nexus can do some awesome VR stuff for this event and raise some money for charity.

Is this something that is on anyone else's radar? It's an awesome event and could definitely help VR arcade locations to bring attention to their brand.

had heard of this awhile back for pc and console gamer's. Never thought about doing it for a VR Arcade. That is actually a really good idea. Why shouldn't we, as we are a part of the "gaming community". I am going to talk to my partner about this as i think this would be a good way to get noticed, as well as give to a great charity! Already to late for this one, but there will always be the next one!! :)

Ctrl V has been doing this for the last two years with great success. I believe they raised more than 30,000 CAD for the children this year alone.

They seem to be big in the arcade world. With like 15 arcades in Canada and 2 or 3 in US, they are moving and shaking over there. They were actually who we looked at for our booth material back when we were first throwing around ideas for builds. Figures they would be hip on something like this...definitely something i will look at doing next time.

We participated in Extra Life at West Edmonton Mall this year and it was awesome! the participation varies by city but if they are active near you I highly reccommend being a part of this.

We recently just signed our arcade up and are looking forward to doing a 24 event soon! Will keep you guys posted!
