We just try to be honest up front with the players. In our initial pitch to new customers, we list "Battle Royale" as a genre we have available. If someone gets excited about that as a possibility, we ask them how much experience they have with VR or gaming in general. If they have none with VR, then we warn them that Stand Out is one of the most complex games we have in terms of controls. We encourage them to try out Space Pirate Trainer or Superhot if they are interested in shooters so that they have some time to get used to the controller.
If someone does have experience with VR, but has never played Stand Out, then we still warn them that "just like PUBG or Fortnite, it's a challenging game and you may not even get a kill in your first play session."
With that strategy, we are upfront and honest with the customer and they always walk away appreciating our efforts to not let them waste their money on something they won't have fun with.
That being said, we do have a small niche that loves to come in and play the more challenging games. They don't get NEARLY the attention that titles like Superhot or Gorn or Elven Assassin get, though.
