Hi Springboard Support!
Just a reminder that your software needs to continue to adapt.
Please don’t use an overwhelming number of dissatisfied owners giving you feedback as the measuring stick. The majority of owners are not also operators and even fewer have successful arcades. Most of these problems are caused by having kids in headsets… but that’s like $40,000 in business a year
Here are things we have to tell youth party customers EVERY TIME we put them into headsets:
Call for Help
THIS IS IMPORTANT. If you push this button, NOBODY will know you need help! A tiny light will appear on an ipad, but we are walking around helping customers and not standing and looking at that ipad. You MUST vocalize your need for help.
Switch Games
Parents, I’m so sorry but you will not be able to guide your child through switching games. You’ll have to take the headset off the child each time, put it on yourself, push the switch game button to go back to the menu, and then put the headset back on the child. OR you can flag down one of us and we can kick the child back into the main menu. (We have 10 headsets and if each child in a youth party wants to switch games 10 times an hour, then my staff will be fielding 100 “HELP PLEASE!” requests to push headsets to the menu.)
Categories
The first ones are already on the screen, so you’ll need to scroll down to see new games. Scrolling down is a bit tricky for kids… but we don’t want the top of the menu to be kids games so… Parents please help your child select “Youth Games” … every time you are kicked back into the menu.
Don’t use Easy, Medium, Hard.
It has no meaning or relationship to game difficulty. It won’t help you and is just taking up space above the Categories, which would be helpful if….
Single Player
Don’t bother clicking this as ALL games are single player while only some are multiplayer.
The button should go.
