TWD: Onslaught is a fun zombie game and I enjoyed the 4-ish hours that I put into it, but below are the issues I’ve seen in it. Some technical and some things specific to the title being at a VR arcade:
- Unreal Engine crashes, these are a common thing we face on Raw Data and it looks like we’re getting them in this new Survios title. With TWD being a more story/campaign driven game, and with the amount of time it takes to restart the game, pick the controls, select the level, load it, etc… it’s a massive bummer for our customers who are paying by the minute.
- Starting level on the menu is always level 7, the hardest level. It needs to start at the prologue.
- Customizing the weapon loadout. Is this not something that we can do? Please add in the ability to change out weapons. I’d love for customers to use some of the cooler weapons but they’re only available on the later and tougher levels.
- Please make the firearms not suck as much against the armored zombies. Customers are using nearly all 30 of the shotgun rounds to try and kill them. One stab with a knife or machete under their face mask kills them, but a lot of our customers lack the dexterity to be that precise.
- The game is zoomed in for what we see on the TV screen/monitor. We have to use the SteamVR display mirror setting on just that game because of this.
