To our Operator community,
Facebook & Beat Games have made the decision to discontinue commercial licensing of Beat Saber and will remove it from the Location-Based Entertainment market. This will impact all SpringboardVR arcades as well as independent LBE venues, chains, and arcades using other licensing & management software. As a result:
The last day to request a new license for Beat Saber will be June 30th. Starting July 1st, no new licenses for Beat Saber will be granted.
SpringboardVR’s license to distribute Beat Saber terminates on July 31st. The Beat Saber build will be removed from our Content Distribution System (CDS) on July 31st, and we expect all Beat Saber Steam keys will be terminated by Facebook/Beat Games at that time or shortly after.
We understand that this is unexpected and unwelcome news. We have put together this Hidden Gem VR Rhythm Games blog post to highlight some great rhythm games for your customers to play once Beat Saber is no longer accessible.
