For a long time, I encountered issues of customers trying to book online and saying that they always got stuck at the make a payment page. They would end up calling and booking over the phone and after I would hang up with them I’d try booking via my site on my PC with multiple browsers and also on my phone, again with multiple browsers, and it would always work out just fine.
Finally, I noticed that this always happened with parents booking for their kids and never for older couples booking for themselves or companies booking for a corporate event. I tried to fill it out and entered a year for someone younger and found the problem. If the year results in someone younger than 13 years then it will not let you go further. On some browsers, an error message does pop up informing the user that they must be at least 13 years old, but not all browsers do (seems like Safari on iPhone is the main one that doesn’t show the error message).
A lot of parents think that they’re supposed to enter their child’s birthday in the reservation. Is there a way that we can remove this age requirement from our own arcade’s form? If not, can it be made more clear that the birthday field is for the person placing the order and not for their child? Also, can this message clarifying this be visible all the time, not just when you enter a bad age, and it not go away after a few seconds?
